The TMX-8i is a CNC lathe that specializes in turning operations. It is designed for the machining of cylindrical and contoured workpieces. One of the features is live tooling, which allows for milling and drilling operations in addition to turning. This makes it suitable for complex parts that require multiple machining processes. The lathe is equipped with a 12-station tool turret that can hold multiple cutting tools, providing flexibility in tool changes and setup for different operations. The Hurco TMX-8i has a W-axis and a sondary programmable sub-spindle or counter-spindle. On machines with a secondary spindle, the W-axis positions the secondary spindle for machining.
