This company's name was changed to Makino in 1996. In order to provide services and support of all LeBlond lathe equipment that has been manufactured since 1887 when R.K. LeBlond first manufactured his first metal cutting lathes, LeBlond Lathe Parts was founded.

In 1998, this company's name was changed to LeBlond Ltd. after the W.F. & John Barnes Company was acquired to represent a bigger business purpose. Used LeBlond lathes receives the benefits of this company's service and support, if needed, as does the new manual lathes being sold today.
